A difficult-to-clean implant bridge, reconsidered with Dr Monal Patel.Prosthodontics & periodontics, working together.
More than appearance
The existing bridge was difficult to clean. Assessment identified inflammation around the implants, one failing implant and a damaged screw head that complicated bridge removal.

Address the foundations
Periodontal management and prosthodontic planning were coordinated before fitting a replacement bridge with improved contours and access for cleaning.
A result made to be maintained
The new bridge improved the smile’s appearance and the patient’s ability to keep it clean. Ongoing implant care remains essential.

Clinical details
Assessment. A poorly contoured full-arch prosthesis, peri-implant inflammation, one failing implant and a stripped screw head.
Treatment. Removal of the failing implant, retrieval of the damaged screw, specialist periodontal treatment and a redesigned prosthesis.
Outcome. The report describes improved cleansability, appearance and comfort. Long-term care depends on maintenance and review.

Replacing a failing upper front tooth, with a temporary smile throughout healing.
The starting point
Decay had left an upper central incisor unrestorable. Planning focused on replacing the tooth while protecting the appearance of the smile.

An interim denture replaced the missing tooth straight away. Implant placement followed healing and assessment.
The final restoration
A screw-retained zirconia crown was shaped and shaded to sit alongside the natural teeth. Photographed at fitting; temporary gum blanching settled afterwards.

I attended Emsworth Specialist Practice due to grinding my teeth when I sleep. I was causing damage, and my teeth were becoming loose, and there was concern about having certain teeth extracted. A mouth guard was advised to wear overnight. I followed the advice, and it has proved to be successful. My teeth are 100% better. I would recommend this procedure 100%!!
